        Shingles is an infection caused by reactivation of varicella-zoster virus. The virus that causes chickenpox and it is contagious. When a person has chickenpox virus can remain inactive in their body. Later in life, if the immune system is weakened (eg by disease or age), the virus can reactivate. A person can have shingles more than once. The healthy adults who have not had chickenpox may also want to avoid catching the disease that tends to be more severe in adults.

       Shingles contagious causes:

• A rash - with items such as blister fluid (vesicles).
• The rash usually follows the area where there are nerve pathways - trunk. The face and around the eyes are often affected by Shingles contagious.
• Pain - because the rash follows the nerve pathways it can cause severe pain. Sometimes this pain will persist for some time. Even after the shingles infection has cleared.

        If other children are excluded from daycare because of contagiousness, school, work or other activities because they have shingles, you must not worry, unless the rash can not be covered.         Most people have no complications in shingles contagious. Neuralgia post is the most common complication. It is where the nerve pain (neuralgia) of shingles persists after the rash has disappeared. This behavior is uncommon in people under 50. However, up to 1 to 4 people over 60 who have shingles have pain that lasts more than a month. The older you are, the more it will happen. Relieves pain in general gradually.
